SJ Việt Nam là một tổ chức phi chính phủ nhằm kết nối các tình nguyện viên quốc tế và Việt Nam cùng tham gia làm việc giúp đỡ những cộng đồng gặp khó khăn. SJ Việt Nam được thành lập vào năm 2004 dưới sự điều phối, hỗ trợ của bác Piere de Hanscutter và chị Đỗ Thị Phúc.
SJ Việt Nam hoàn toàn là thành viên của CCIVS trực thuộc UNESCO (CCIVS – Coordinating Committee for International Voluntary Service – Ủy ban Điều phối Dịch vụ tự nguyện quốc tế) và NVDA (Mạng lưới phát triển tình nguyện châu Á). Chúng tôi cũng là đối tác của YAP (Youth Action for Peace – Tuổi trẻ hành động vì hòa bình) và Alliance (Liên minh). Giao lưu quốc tế được quản lý riêng biệt trong mạng lưới của chúng tôi tại Việt Nam và với các đối tác quốc tế. Tới thời điểm hiện tại, SJ Việt Nam đã đưa 6000 lượt tình nguyện viên trên toàn thế giới đi khắp Việt Nam để giúp đỡ những trẻ em tại các gia đình khó khăn có được môi trường giáo dục và nuôi dạy tốt hơn.
Chúng tôi tổ chức thực hiện các dự án tình nguyện ngắn và dài hạn. Các tình nguyện viên trực tiếp ăn ở tại nơi làm việc, tham gia cải thiện, giải quyết các vấn đề xã hội cũng như phát triển các năng lực cá nhân, chuyên môn và các kỹ năng. SJ Việt Nam là một tổ chức độc lập, phi chính trị và phi tôn giáo, mở cửa cho tất cả mọi người người mà không có bất kỳ sự phân biệt quốc tịch, chủng tộc, triết học, tài chính, giáo dục hoặc giới tính nào. Các dự án của chúng tôi hoạt động tron các lĩnh vực khác nhau phụ thuộc vào nhu cầu của cộng đồng từ bảo vệ môi trường, bảo tồn văn hóa đến phát triển nông thôn, giáo dục.
Trang web này chúng tôi đã cung cấp thông tin đầy đủ, chủ yếu bằng tiếng Anh. Để cho các bạn tình nguyện viên trong nước, quốc tế hay người dân địa phương có thể hiểu chúng tôi cũng có sử dụng ngôn ngữ tiếng Việt và tiếng Pháp.
